Nicholas Keam of Pyramid Hill, Loddon Shire County, VIC Australia was born in 1866 in California Gully, Greater Bendigo City County to John Keam and Mary Truscott Keam. He had siblings Annie Keam Carlton, John Keam, Samuel Keam, John Keam, and Elizabeth Jane (Keam) Abell. He married Elizabeth Ann Lewis in 1904, and had children Evelyn Keam and Harold Nicholas Keam. Nicholas Keam died at age 55 years old in 1921 in Pyramid Hill, Loddon Shire County.

Unemployment went up to 8% and wages went down. Only about 16% of joint-stock companies - a company whose stock is owned jointly by the shareholders - weathered the Panic.
