Nicholas "Nick" Apostolec was born in Floyd Kentucky to Isabelle Caudill. In 1942 he lived in Varnville Hampton County South Carolina, and on May 19th 1943 married Mary Dorothy Sousie Apostolec (1925-2009) in Bristol Connecticut. They had four boys together. On June 16th 1943 Nick registered with the United States Army and enlisted on June 30th 1943 and served until his discharge on February 9th 1946. Nick married twice more in Las Vegas Nevada.
