Nick, my grandfather, spoke broken English, was a devout catholic who lived in the house he built on Eagle avenue till his death in 1968. He fathered 4 boys and two girls. Joe, Andy, Eddy, John, Mary, Anne. His wife died when Anne was 14. He worked at the steel mill, prayed at the nearby Catholic Church and drank at the bar located between the two. He never missed Saturday cowboy shows or a Sunday game of 66. Often after mass on sundays he would go home to sit on the back porch and listen to gospels from the nearby church. He and son Eddie, who took care of him for many years, stayed in the home he built and were the only white faces in the neighborhood. His heart finally failed him in 1968 at the age of 80. I am his grandson Bobby should any family wish to contact me
