Norman Archibald Hardie was born in 1894 at Hagley in TAS Australia to Rev. Alexander Hardie and Elizabeth (Russell) Hardie, and had a sister Effie (Hardie) Thom. Norman Hardie died at age 22 years old on April 11, 1917 in Bullecourt, Pas-de-Calais County, Hauts-de-France France, and was buried at Australian National Memorial, Rte de Villers Bretonneux, in Fouilloy, Somme County.
