She married Albert Edward Akhurst, and had a child Sidney James Manning Akhurst. Norna Akhurst died at age 71 years old on February 19, 1963, and was buried at Springvale Botanical Cemetery 600 Princes Hwy, in Springvale, City of Greater Dandenong County, VIC Australia.
