He also married Nola Belle (Brown) Wofford, and they had children Janice Faye (Wofford) Moore, Darrold Wayne Wofford, and Joe Harold Wofford. He was the parent of Janice Faye (Wofford) Moore. Oadis Wofford died at age 93 years old on September 13, 2008, and was buried on September 16, 2008 at Fairview Cemetery in Talala.

    Oadis Wofford, 93, formerly of Talala, OK, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2008 in Claremore, OK. He was born March 28, 1915 to Edward Lee Wofford, Sr and the former Eva Bible. He had lived most of his life in this area. He was a charter member of the Shelter Freewill Baptist Church of Collinsville, OK and member of the Higgons-Clemmons American Legion Post. He is survived by his wife: Bertha of the home. 2 Daughters: Janice Moore and her husband Bob of Monett, MO and Doris Starr and husband Doug of Claremore, OK. 2 sons: Joe Harold Wofford of San Antonio, TX and Darold Wofford and his wife Jennifer of Miami, OK. 1 Brother: James Wofford and his wife Dona of Claremore, OK and 1 sister: Helen Rowena Wofford of Claremore, OK. He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren and 10 Great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, 5 sisters, 1 grandson, and 1granddaughter.

The Lusitania was a British passenger ship that was sailing from New York to Liverpool England. She sank in 18 minutes - 1,198 died and 761 survived. In 1925, he was only 10 years old when gangster Al "Scarface" Capone took over the Chicago bootlegging racket at age 26. Previously right hand man to boss Johnny Torrio, Capone took over when Torrio was shot and severely injured and decided to resign. The bootlegging and brothel organization was massive and when asked what he did, Capone often replied "I am just a businessman, giving the people what they want".
