  • Introduction

    Olai Ohme was my great-grandfather and we were very close. He used to come and visit us in Thorold, Ontario, Canada and we would go down to the Welland Canal and watch the ships. When there was a ship from Norway, Sweden or Denmark, he would often call out to the sailors in Norwegian and they would always answer with big smiles. I have many memories, but I would like to hear from others who knew him, too.
