My grandmother was a fiesty lady. I loved her so and I'm still grieving her death. She raised me from the age of 4 months, she also named me. She had one child, a son, Clarence Toland Jr. with Clarence Toland Sr. of North Carolina. She was the daughter of Edward and Dovie Gatewood. She married once, I don't recall the name of her husband, just his last name which was Hanzer.
She was a fabulous cook! She made homemade cakes, cookies, cornbread. I used to love to watch my Grammy cook, no one could cook like she could. She had a potty mouth and cursed like a sailor but she loved deep. I never doubted the love she had for me. I'm glad that I found this site and will try to update it soon.
