This is the Golden Wedding anniversary of my great-aunt and great-uncle, Willie Jessamine Brownlow Gossett and Alvia Lester Gossett. This picture was taken at their home.
They were married January 3, 1915, in Eldorado, Jackson County, Oklahoma. My grandmother, Euna Brownlow, married Lester's brother, John Luther Gossett. Euna Brownlow was also a sister to Willie Brownlow Gossett.

Euna Denton, Mairl Kirk, Guy Brownlow, Oscar Brownlow, and Alvis Rumbo were siblings of Willie Gossett.
Lester and Willie Gossett had a daughter (living) and a son, Clinton Gossett, deceased.

My Great Uncle, Oscar Brownlow, and Family at Park
This is my great-uncle, Oscar Lawrence Brownlow, and his wife, Viola Coke Brownlow, and their only child, Lonnie Brownlow.
All are deceased. Oscar was a farmer at Abernathy, Texas, and died at age 60 after stomping cotton down in a trailer and having a heart attack.
Viola lived to be in her 90's and died of complications from diabetes in Lubbock, Texas.
Lonnie lived in Alamosa, Colorado, where he was a prominent realtor. He had 4 sons and died of complications from diabetes.

This is a group picture of the children of Edward Isaac Brownlow and Elizabeth Elvira Skipper Brownlow's children that survived to adulthood. The couple had 15 children, one set of twins. Edward Isaac Brownlow fathered a total of 24 children with his first wife and my great-grandmother, Elizabeth.
From left to right: Alvis Ruth Rumbo, Mairl Vivien Kirk, Willie Jessamine Gossett, Jack Brownlow (Baptist minister), Euna Brownlow Denton, Guy Edward Brownlow (he lived to be in his 90's and was the last surviving child alive), Oscar Lawrence Brownlow (farmed at Abernathy, Texas, very successfully - died of heart attack at age 60), and Erskin Brownlow.
The family lived in East Texas and then moved to Eldorado, Oklahoma, where they farmed for a number of years.
The parents, Edward Isaac and Elizabeth Brownlow, are buried at Antioch Cemetery, near Eldorado, Jackson County, Oklahoma.
This picture is of my maternal great-grandparents and their children. Edward Isaac Brownlow was married twice. This picture is of his second wife, Elizabeth Elvira Skipper Brownlow, their children and 2 children from his first marriage.
