  • Introduction

    The Otto tremis killed in World War II was my uncle. That brother of my Father Peter Tremis. He was born when my grandfather Anthony Tremis went to America as an immigrant about 1916 or 1918. The family was Katerina Tremis Mother, Father Antonio Tremis, brothers Peter Tremis (1920-1996), John Tremis (1922-1942), Angeliki Tremis, and Eleni Tremis. My information is that he was in the Navy of the US Army and was killed in a boat in the Pacific Ocean after a battle with the Japanese, (16 Nov 1942). The other two brothers, my father Peter and John went GTN were the Germans in Greece in February 1942 and went to Palestine to fight against the Germans along with Vratanous. In March tou1942 John died in Palestine from typhoid pyereto, as a soldier of the Greek Army and so the three brothers stayed only father Peter, who continued fighting, El Alamenin, Rimini and later in 1945 he returned to Greece. The last letter you wrote to my father Otto Peter was sti 4.6 Nov 1942 (ie 12 days before skotothei0 from Australia and said he was distressed at the death of John I believe that these story of my family a bit like the film (the soldier Ryan), except my father's brothers killed was 2and my father kept fighting until the end of the war. If these data are sent to the correct diefnthynsi please enter them in serving Otto Tremis like a small memorial.
