    Otto Charles Cluss is the son of Otto E Cluss (1872-1956) and Jennie M Niehaus (1863-1952). He was born on September 2, 1998 in St Louis, MO and had a half sister Ruth C Christmann (born 1893). He married Helen Hall Shields (1892-1976) on October 3, 1914 in McDowell, West Virginia, United States. They had children Jane French Cluss (1918-2004), Charles B Cluss (1922-2011), John S Cluss (1917-2010), and Helen S Cluss (1920-1991). In 1949, Otto was elected chairman of the Fayette County Committee in the Pennsylvania Economy League.
