He grew up in Canada and came to the US in November of 1922 arriving in Jackman, Maine, USA. Paul enlisted into the US Military on August 14, 1942 in Portland Maine. He served in the military from August 28, 1942 until January 7, 1943. He worked for Bates Manufacturing Co in Augusta for many years before returning home to Canada.
