From the Ventura County Star Ventura - Paul Clarence Tuominen of Ventura, California, passed away on October 1, 2021 at the age of 69. Paul was born on September 9, 1952 to Elmer and Doris Tuominen in Ventura, California. Paul graduated from Buena High school in 1970. He served six years in the US Naval Air Reserves as an Electronics Mechanic from 1971-1977. He then moved to Iowa for 2 years where he was a late-night disc jockey. He had a beautiful deep voice and a love for classic rock and the blues. When he returned to Ventura, Paul went on to earn a certificate in Machining and Toolmaking and worked in the industry as a machinist/toolmaker for 35 years. Paul led a very full life. He loved spending time with his family and friends for Bar-B-Ques, game night, music night, family trips and more. Paul had many interests and hobbies and many life experiences. He was a great historian and loved sharing his life stories with his classically raw, witty sense of humor. He was always willing and ready to help others in need. Paul was well liked and loved by those who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Paul is preceded in death by his father Elmer Tuominen, mother Doris Tuominen and brother Jeffrey Tuominen.
