There are no words to describe the loss of a vibrant and full life; no words to say as you watch the vibrancy wither away, the strength turn to weakness, and the hope turn to disappointment. All he wanted before he died was to see his little girl one last time. She refused. So he held on for 2 years after being put on hospice, with morphine doses ever increasing, with the hope that she would come. Always he'd ask about her, even drugged on morphine. And never did he get his wish. My grandfather was a hard working, loving, strong, funny, and kind man who supported his family and loved his children. He did not deserve to die without his final wish - seeing his youngest daughter one last time - because she was too selfish and full of cowardice, to brainwashed by her sociopath husband, to face her mother, my grandmother, and Paul's wife: Rena. All he wanted was to say goodbye to her, and she never gave him that chance. My mother took care of him during his final months, weeks, days, and hours, and when he finally took his last breath, he was surrounded by those who really did love him: his ever-loving wife, Rena, his dedicated and wonderfully selfless and amazing daughter, Jean, and her husband, Tom. He was a beautiful and strong man who will never be forgotten.
