  • Introduction

MY GRANDFATHER WAS A GOOD MAN. HOWEVER HE TURNED TO ALCOHOL AFTER MY GRANDMOTHER DIED. I LOVED WHEN HE WOULD STAY WITH US. IT WAS ALWAYS NICE TO HAVE HIM AROUND. HE WAS A LONELY MAN AFTER ALL HIS CHILDREN WERE OUT OF THE HOUSE AND HIS WIFE DIED. HE ALWAYS SMOKED A PIPE WITH CHERRY TOBACCO IN IT. IT ALWAYS SMELLED GOOD. WHEN I GOT EARACHES HE WOULD BLOW THE SMOKE IN MY EARS. IT ALWAYS WORKED. HE ALWAYS FIXED ME RIGHT UP. I WISH HE WERE STILL ALIVE I WOULD SHOW HIM MY FAMILY AND SHOW HIM SO LOVE. I TRULY MISS HIM. IT WAS A SAD WAY TO DIE. BY HIMSELF IN THE BASEMENT OF THE HOUSE HE LIVED IN. I LOVE YOU GRAND PA.
