Paul Phillip Silva Sr. was born to Louis G. Silva and he had siblings Louis, Charles Joseph, William and Caroline Silva. Paul P. Silva Jr. married Helen Kamaka Kalama (1927 - 2013) and they had twelve children: Paulette Grace, Winona Lee, Helene, Egon, Nornette, Maryann, Hildegarde, Paula, Egon Sr., Ira, Xan, and Paul P. Paul married Helen Kamaka Kalama (1927 - 2013) and they had twelve children: Paulette Grace, Winona Lee, Helene, Egon, Nornette, Maryann, Hildegarde, Paula, Egon Sr., Ira, Xan, and Paul P. Silva Jr. He was survived by 36 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.

He was born in Makaweli, Kauai. He is survived by wife Helen; children Paulette Grace, Helena Medeiros, Winona Lee, Helene Kimble, Paula Bacio, Maryann Manintin, Nornette Gallardo, Hildegarde Miyashiro and Paul Jr., Egon Sr., Abram, Xan and Ira Silva; brother Charles; sister Caroline Hart; 36 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren. Mass: 11 a.m. Saturday at holy Cross Church, Kalaheo. Call after 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Veteran Cemetery. Casual attire.
