Son of the Late Bert and Norah Hastilow (nee Bailey) - East Bentleigh and younger brother of Max, brother in law of Julia - Langwarrin South Victoria.Uncle of Natasha - Rochester Victoria and David - Burleigh Queensland Beloved son in law of the late William and Florence Davis - Carnegie Victoria. Much loved friend of the late Douglas Lloyd Ball; adoptive and loving father of Mary. Pam & Ian Hennig, Heather & Neil Warnock, Helen and Peter Marshall, Jill and Tom Higginbottom. Loved and respected member of the Coatesville Mens Bowls Club A truly kind and generous person taken far too soon and so sorely missed. As long as I live you will be loved and never forgotten.

In 1943, in the year that Paul Royston Hastilow was born, on September 3rd, the Armistice of Cassibile was signed in Sicily. Under the terms of the Armistice, Italy surrendered to the Allied Powers. After the Armistice was made public on September 8th, Germany attacked and occupied Italy. It took 20 months of fighting for the Allies to reach the northern borders of Italy.
