  • Introduction

    Pearl loved to cook for everyone especially her spouse,children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved her husband, kids and grandchildren deeply. Grandma liked playing games and coloring with her grandchildren plus sitting on her porch swing. She would always have snacks for her children and grandchildren which included her delicious desserts. I always loved to play Old Maid with Grandma after getting off the school bus.

    Pearl A. King Obituary from Perry County Tribune 4-12-2000 Pearl A. King, 84, of New Lexington, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000 at the Sunbridge Nursing Center, New Lexington, OH Mrs. King was born Oct. 29, 1915 in Clover Hill a homemaker, and a Methodist by faith. She is survived by her husband, Paul A. King of the home; two sons, Neil (Becky) King of New Lexington, and Larry (Janet) Gardner of Worthington; seven grandchildren, Dawnel (Richard), Matthew Gardner, Nathan Gardner, Arnetta King, Audra King, and Army Private II Kurtis King, and two great grandchildren, Christopher and Jessica Volzke. (children of Dawnel Gardner) She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Gardner; parents Charles Sylvester & Ann Tracy Pratt; three sisters, Freda Vermillion, Thelma Link, and Dora McMillian; and two brothers; Raymond Pratt and Floyd Pratt.
