He had siblings Ida Betsy Mcpherson, Alice May Bales, Joseph William Bales, Dorothy Ellen Bales, and Frank Stuart Bales. Percy Bales married Mary Jean Hamilton in 1924, and died at age 68 years old on October 27, 1965 in Traralgon.
