His mother Rosina was born on April 17, 1892 in Palermo, Sicilia, Italy and immigrated to the US arriving in New York on July 27, 1913. She then moved to Passaic, New Jersey, USA and lived in Garfield, Bergen, New Jersey, United States. She became a naturalized citizen in 1940 and passed away on Agust 5, 1974 in Garfield, Bergen, New Jersey, United States. His father Lorenzo was born on May 10, 1887 in Lercara Friddi, Palermo, Sicilia, Italy and immigrated to the states arriving on November 7, 1904. He lived in Passaic, New Jersey, USA and worked as a wholesale fruit dealer. He passed away in 1974.
