Introduction

Peter Paul Busgen was my grandfather. I do not remember the exact date of death but we lived with him at the time. He was a farmer who eventually moved into a small town. He loved gardening and made it his pasion every summer.

He lives most of his life in LaSalle Illinois although I believe thay did live in Spring Valley Il for a time.
Religious Beliefs

Peter was Catholic and helped build one of the Churches in LaSalle.
Personal Life & Family

Peter loved gardening and had a huge garden every year that he would harvest for canning. The overflow he would share with all the neighbors. Peter also had a passion for fishing and loved nothing better than a warm summer afternoon on the shore fishing. He shared that love of fishing with his children and grandchildren alike. His brother Gerard was killed while in the Navy. His ship was brought down by a torpedo. he had newspaper clippings of that.
