He also had a half brother, Frank Lomenzo (1908-1993). He married Rose Leone (born 1914) on September 19, 1932 in Monroe, New York, USA. They had two sons together, Richard and Roger. Peter worked as a Monroe COunty Deputy Sheriff and Family Court attendant. He was a World War II veteran.

Ziegfeld was inspired by the Folies Bergère of Paris and the show was a step up from the then current vaudeville shows.
