Philias Philip Patnaude 1839 - 1910

Philias Philip Patnaude was born on October 7, 1839 in La Prairie, Roussillon Regional County Municipality, QC Canada to Peter Pierre Patenaude and Catherine (Odon-Rochefort) Patenaude, and had siblings Charles Author Patenaude, Emily (Patenaude) Lemieux, Elizabeth (Patenaude) Williams, Lucy (Patenaude) Rawn, Rosabell (Patenaude) Williams, Marie-Eugene (Patenaude) Demers, Catherin (Patenaude) Lamitie, Theodore H Patenaude, and Julie Asilda Patenaude. They married Ellen Helena (Lafleur) Patnude in 1878 in Green Bay, Brown County, Wisconsin United States, and they were married until Ellen's death in 1887. They had children Maude Matilda Patnude and Delia Patricia Patnude. They also married Exilda (Lafluer) Patnude in 1889 in Marinette, Marinette County United States. Philias Patnaude died at age 71 years old in 1910.

In 1839, in the year that Philias Philip Patnaude was born, on January 2nd, the first photo of the Moon was taken by Louis Daguerre, known as the "father of photography". The following June, he applied for and got a patent for his camera - to which France acquired the rights in exchange for a lifetime pension for Louis and his co-inventor's nephew. The camera was available to the public by September. It cost 400 francs (about $50 US then, almost $1270 today) and weighed 120 pounds.

In 1853, when this person was just 14 years old, on March 4th, Franklin Pierce became the 14th President of the United States. His son had been killed in a train accident that also involved Pierce and his wife on January 6 - the only of 3 sons to survive until then. Due to the resultant depression and his unpopular policies, he was not re-nominated for President and served only one term.
