His older brother was named Leonard and 4 years his senior, and his little brother was Marvin, who was 5 years younger. Phillip served in the United States Army from May 31, 1944 to April 24, 1946. Philip Stillerman passed away on October 28, 1991.

His terms of enlistment were, "Enlistment For The Duration Of The War Or Other Emergency, Plus Six Months, Subject To The Discretion Of The President Or Otherwise According To Law". He served in the United States Army from May 31, 1944 to April 24, 1946.
