    "Flippy" (as he was known to me) was one of my best friends from Kindergarten to 7th grade. I knew his mom and brothers. We went to school together and lived nearby and played most days. He scored the highest IQ ever recorded for NYC and I came in a distant 2nd. The authorities were suspicious and made us take the test a second time, this time with a teacher standing over us. According to my mom, we both did even better and the authorities used the 1st score. We went into a "Special Progress" class in the 7uth grade and we both got in trouble because of "disciplinary problems." They threatened us with expulsion from the SP class is we didn't straighten up. I did, Flippy didn't and got expelled into regular classes. We gradually lost contact after that. I ran into him a few years later when he had joined the Police and he seemed happy. Nothing but good memories and condolences to his family.
