Phyllis Ethel (Laing) Coppin was born on January 13, 1910 in Healesville, Yarra Ranges Shire County, VIC Australia to Clifton Severn Laing and Elizabeth Jane Laing ( Baulch, and had a brother Cliff James Laing. She married Joseph Alfred "Harold" Coppin, and had children Richard Coppin, June Coppin, and Marion Coppin. Phyllis Coppin died at age 97 years old on May 27, 2007, and was buried at Springvale Botanical Cemetery in Springvale, Greater Dandenong City County.

A brilliant Nana- we thank her for her sagacity, humour, generosity and love- Geoff and Ivonne Debbie, Cathie, Lynne, Kerrie and Geoff. A favorite "Be-with" person for her great grandchildren for all the joy you gave us, - Tim, Laura, Georgia, Clark, Alexandra, Kristy, Emily, Joshua, Bethany and Caitlyn. In memory of mum- Marion and Keith, ( grandchildren ) Mark, Amanda, Karen, Andrew, ( great grandchildren ) Jack, Victoria, Rhyan, Ben, Nicole, Tom, Georgia, Jessica, Daniel, Nicholas, Katie, Lewis, Carly and Sam. You were so loved and loving mother of Richard and revered mother- in-law of Lesley and much loved Nana of Shane, Melissa, Jaqueline, Rhonda and Steve and Great Nana of Thomas, Samantha, Isabella, Hamish and Molly. A great lady.
