I am Phyllis' (Feiga's) granddaughter. She died when I was only 4, but I remember her so vividly as she was my best friend at the time. I remember the color and smells of her apartment. I remember she loved to cook and bake and I would help her on many of her creations. I remember her caring, compassion and love and how much she loved me. I remember her living 6 floors above me in our apartment building and her taking me down to the playground everyday. I remember the day she had to be taken to the hospital and I remember the phone call made to my mom the day she passed. I will never forget my Nanny - she meant the world to me and I was her world. But I know she dearly missed my grandfather and I hope they are loving heaven together and are at peace! I love you Nanny! ~Dina (Weiss) Douty
