Pierre Guieysse
A photo of my great great great grandfather, Pierre Guieysse, a French sailor ("corsaire" in french) of the French king (1850). Photo taken in 1850, just few months before his death. A beautiful destiny. A brave man who lived extraordinary adventures.
A small farm boy who decides to become a sailor (without ever having seen the sea) and leaves its mountains (Aveyron, Southern France) to Britain. He will become a great Commander and will face the English many times, making even capture and lock in a London prison to escape. He will take part in many naval battles.
