Pietro Cursi 1909 - 1978
Pete Cursi of Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware was born on June 28, 1909 at near Rome, Italy in ITALY. He was in a relationship with rose malafronti and they later separated. He had children Antoinette (Cursi) Pierson, Margaret Mary (Cursi,) Yearsley, and Primo Luigi cursi. Pete Cursi died at age 69 years old in August 1978 at wilmington, De, and was buried at Cathedral Cemetery 2400 Lancaster Ave, in Wilmington.

Pete was not a veteran, since he was divorced and was raising. his 3 children he was exempt from going into the service....

Pete, was not educated in Italy, but he was a very intelligent person, came to the United States at the age of 16 with his 18 year old brother Emilo, and could not read or write, when he lived in Italy, and as a small child he worked in the fields, and after he came to America, he learned to read and write English, he worked in the auto industry and learned to spray cars, finally opening his own business, called 'CURSI BODY AND FENDER HOSPITAL" WHEN HE WAS ASKED WHY HE CALLED IT A "HOSPITAL" HE WOULD SAY "when you get sick where do you go, he would answer 'HOSPITAL" he was always friendly, happy, outgoing, he loved his 3 children, Antoinette, Margaret and Primo Cursi...and spent every week end with them, as they lived with their grandparent's. Michalina and Luigi Amato, the children loved their grandparents very much them........ Pete was divorced from his wife Rose (Malafronti) Cursi....
