Quincy Morris 1903 - 1979

Quincy Morris of Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio was born on October 21, 1903 in Bluefield, Mercer County, West Virginia United States to Jesse Everett Morris. He married Shirley R (Snider) Morris on January 16, 1954, and they were married until Quincy's death in May 1979. Quincy Morris had a child Richard Allen Morris.

  • Introduction

    Born to Jesse Everett Morris and Virginia Akers. He had 2 brothers, Patrick and Robert and 2 sisters, Maime and Martha. Worked on the railroad early 1900's. Was a boilermaker and welder. Went to enlist in military at start of WWII but they wouldn't take him and told him he was too valuable as a boiler maker. He married Lucille Taylor and had a son Jesse Taylor Morris. The marriage was short lived ending in divorce. He later married Virginia (nee unknown), no offspring. They owned a farm during their marriage until it also ended in divorce. He then married my mother Shirley Snider who was a hired worker on the farm. They married January 16, 1954. The family moved to Broward Co Fla where Quincy started up a business named US Pharmaceuticals. After about 8 yrs, the family moved back to SE Ohio where he and Shirley entered the real estate business. He and Shirley had 4 children together: Richard, Karen, Leonard and Kenneth. Quincey later retired and became a deacon at Marshall Church of Christ in the 70's until his illness that took him in 1979.
