In 1925, in the year that Ralph H Friedmann was born, gangster Al "Scarface" Capone took over the Chicago bootlegging racket at age 26. In 1966, at the age of 41 years old, Ralph was alive when on July 1st, Medicare became available after President Johnson signed into law the Medicare Act in 1965. President Truman had received the first Medicare card since he had been the first to propose national healthcare law. insurance.

In 1975, Ralph was 50 years old when on September 5th, Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme tried to assassinate President Ford in Sacramento, California. She failed when her gun wouldn't fire.
