    December 08. 2010 12:01AM Ralph J. Morgan Sr. Ralph J. Morgan Sr. of Adrian, age 71, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at Bixby Medical Center. Ralph J. Morgan Sr. of Adrian, age 71, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at Bixby Medical Center. He was born Nov. 16, 1939, in Isaban, W.Va., to Alex Lee and Elizabeth (Griffey) Morgan. He was married on Dec. 17, 1958, in Adrian to Elizabeth Louise Garcia and she survives. Ralph had been employed by Stubnitz-Green/Hoover as a foreman for 17 years and then Ford Motor Co. where he had been employed for 27 years, retiring in January 2002. He was also the owner and operator of Maple City Sports Cards for seven years. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, bowling, and fishing. Ralph was a loyal fan of the Detroit Tigers; he never missed listening to or watching a Tiger game since the age of 17. In addition to Elizabeth, his loving wife of 52 years, he is survived by his children, Ralph (Lori) Morgan Jr., Richard Morgan, Kimberly (Fred) Faz, Tina (Steve) May and Veronica (Tom) Phillips, all of Adrian; eight brothers, Delmas (Eloise), Roger (Janette), Curtis, Billy Jo (Diane), Alton (Victoria), Donald, Raymond (Carolyn) and Gerald Morgan; three sisters, Betty Henry, Nora Gritzmaker and Alma Morgan; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marcella Morgan; and a brother, Jackie Earnest Morgan. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, with Pastor Randy Santiago of Bethany Assembly of God, officiating. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
