Ralph King Alsobrooks parents were George Washington Alsobrooks (1867 - 1936), born in Tennessee, and Katherine Bell "Kitty" Young (1876 - 1948), also born in Tennessee. He had siblings Annie, Vera, James Isham, Roy Lee, George Roscoe, Claude, Addie May, Robert E., Emmitt B., Joseph Marshall, and Williard B. Alsobrook. Ralph Alsobrooks married Mary Adkins (1921 - 2010) and they had two children: a son, Harold Alsobrooks (1946 - 1946) and a daughter, Carolyn. Ralph was in the United States Army and a veteran of World War II, enlisting on April 16, 1941 and being discharged on September 27, 1945.
