Add Memories, Stories & Photos about Ralph

Chief One Eagle AKA Grandpa was an awesome grandfather. His views were definitely old school but I learned a lot from him...things I practice today. My favorite memories of him are from the Pow-Wows that he would take us to in their RV (which was part of the fun) and letting some of us grandkids work their "stand", selling jewelery and nick-knacks like Indian drums, headpieces, etc. Also when they had their store at the St. Pete Pier and we would run in and out all day long, running around the pier, stopping in the all the shops where we knew people from our grandparents and getting free ice-cream and other stuff bc of that. My grandfather was very strict but was also a softie to his grandchildren. My absolute favorite memory of him from childhood was when he used to take my brother and I to this awesome ice-cream parlor that played cartoons on a big screen (remember, this was early 80's so it was NOT a common sight). We would get these huge sundaes and watch cartoons. I miss him very much. He was a great grandfather and although very strict, we knew he loved us very much and he did a lot of nice/sweet/cool things with us grandchildren. I have a lot of respect for his work ethic, for the man he tried to be for his family and his active role in the Indian community. May he know he's loved and rest in peace.
