  • Introduction

    He was the best father anyone could ask for. He was a hard worker and loved his family. When our Mom left for bowling he would make sure we all got bathed, heated our towels for after our baths, washed our hair. He would pulled his comb out of his pocket and combed our hair out gently. From the time I was young till I was probably 17 or 18 years old when he came home from work I ran out and hugged him as soon as he got out of the truck. He took care of all his kids so selflessly even into his later years, all his kids grown with kids themselves; he always wanted to fix the wrongs in our lives, make things better. Always the protector, always the nurturer. His children loved and adored him. He was so very loved by all who knew him. I miss him so much, I wish I could have one more day with him. One more story, one more giggle over him dancing the jig and being just a sweet goofy Pop, one more "Good night Pops" smooch on the cheek. His kids miss him terribly.     by Phone Send a Sympathy Card RALPH THOMAS FAIRCLOTH, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 in Hideway, Texas at the age of 90 years. He was born December 2, 1922 in Sylvester, Georgia, son of Joseph and Lucy (Goggins) Faircloth. He served our country with pride and honor in the United States Army-Air Corps during World War II. Following his honorable separation, he continued his service as a salvage diver for the United States Navy. A long time resident of Riverside, he moved to Hideway 2 years ago. Ralph will be remembered by his loving children, Sharon Faircloth of Hideway, TX, Lisa Walker of Riverside, CA and Darin Faircloth of Riverside, CA.
