Ray Sundust followed his father's footsteps in Rodeo. Leon Sundust- Indian Rodeo Champion.
Ray held a position as Associate Judge for Gila River Indian Community.
My father Ray, was always flying in and out of town. Going to various meetings. He would take care of the cattle that our family owned. He was busy from the time he woke up, showing his son how to take care of the horse's and cattle.
I don't know how old I was, when he put me on a horse and told me to pull the reigns. He whipped the horse and I held on .I was telling "Stop" my dad yelling pull the reigns. I pulled the reigns and fell off the horse. My dad picked me up and asked if I was okay, he put me back on the horse and made me learn how to stop the horse without falling off.
