Ray was a super friend and a strong man.
I was introduced to Ray when he came to work for me a a floor maintenance company I owned in Colorado Springs. He was a loving and protective man. Ray had served in Viet Nam as a Navy Seal. His heart was as big as all outdoors but he was tough. On on job locked into a business, the walk behind floor machine fell off of the loading ramp and broke his foot. I did not find out until the next day as he finished his shift without a sound. As a young boy living in the bayou, his father was taking him in a rowboat from their property to the mainland Ray could go to school. He was dragging his hand in the water when a Cottonmouth Moccasin bit him on the hand. His day took him back home and tied his legs and arms to his bed and he waited out the poison to do it's thing. He survived and went on to be, in my opinion, a great man. I loved that man more than he will ever know. His good friends called him Huey. Rest well, my man. You deserve it.
