How My Son Was Named
I love my Paw Paw with all my heart... He loved me... I doted on my pawpaw my whole life and am still very proud to say I am my pawpaw's girl. He liked to joke and pick especially on MawMaw. So he would always put me up to silly things to say or do to her just to get a rise out of her. She always knew it was him, so you'd always hear, " Now Raymond, you stop putting her up to coming in here, I know it's you, D*** it to Hell!" MawMaw's favorite cuss words...Lol... At my wedding my pawpaw was crying so loud and hard I almost thought we were going to have to take a break so he could calm down... Lol... Anyway, I was 3 months pregnant with my youngest when my pawpaw passed... I was heartbroken needless to say. Even though my son doesn't carry the Mason family name I named him Raymond Edward because I just loved him so much every time I say my son's name I see him. Now and days Raymond Edward is kind of an outdated name and most kids would go by a nickname or shorten it to Ray... Not my Baby, he is very proud to have his Great Grandfather's name and he quickly corrects anyone who tries to call him any different.
