Ray was a family man with a great sense of vivic duty. He was active in the Lions Club, supported the Pound Ridge Fire Department and was a founding member of the Pound Ridge Ambulance Corps. Ray followed his father into the building trade and became a general contractor, building and restoring many homes, estates and roadways in Westchester County. He was a man of principle and compassion. He didn't suffer fools, at all, much less gladly.
