Not all love stories have a Hollywood ending.

Met Rebecca in the spring of 1966 when she was at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. We dated in Columbia for a few months and then long distance for a year. We married in her parents home (Andalusia, AL) in July 1967. We lived a year in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Memphis, TN in September 1968. Rebecca was a librarian at the University of Tennessee Medical Center (Sep 1968-May 1972) and was in a master’s program at (then) Memphis State University. In June 1972 we moved back to her home town. We were divorced in Sep 1972 and moved to San Diego. I did attempt to reconcile in October 1972. That visit to Andalusia was the last time I saw her. I loved her and was a faithful husband.
