Regina (Wandelt) Voigt was born on November 23, 1928 to Wilhelm Karl Wandelt and Bernhardina Henriette Wandelt, and had siblings Anton Theodor Wandelt, Wilhelmine Cloesters, and Hermann Wilfried Silvester Wandelt. She married Heiner Voigt, and had a child Sabine Voigt. Regina Voigt died at age 79 years old on March 7, 2008 in Wuppertal, NRW Deutschland.

In 1928, in the year that Regina Voigt was born, Mickie Mouse was born! He first appeared in Disney's Steamboat Willie, along with Minnie. Although they were in two previous shorts, this was the first to be distributed. Steamboat Willie took advantage of the new technology and was a "talkie" - music was coordinated with the animation. It became the most popular cartoon of its day.

He even has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "What's up, Doc?"
