Remer Elane Hackle Sr was born on May 30, 1921 to Robert W. Hackle and Ellen Mason, and had a sister Majorie Hackle. He married Leena (Chambers) on July 4, 1947, and had children Martha (Hackle), Remer "Buddy" Hackle, Jimmy Hackle, Jerry hackle, Linda Gale Hammock, Michael Hackle, and Jenny Harden. Remer Hackle died at age 76 years old on May 10, 1998 at 299 Hackle Ln - 299 hackle lane, in Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia United States.

In 1921, in the year that Remer Hackle was born, on November 11th, the first burial was held at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. The body of an unknown soldier - selected by Army Sgt. Edward F. Younger who was highly decorated for valor and received the Distinguished Service Cross in "The Great War" - was brought back from France (World War 1) and placed in the newly completed tomb. President Warren G. Harding officiated at the interment ceremonies.

In 1942, at the age of 21 years old, Remer was alive when due to World War II, automobile production in the United States was stopped on February 1st. A tire rationing program had begun the month before. Detroit - the main hub of car manufacturing - was ordered to free up assembly lines for military production. The president of the Automobile Manufacturers Association said “The automotive industry is in this war all the way". Some dealerships had to close and others expanded their repair shops. The used car market boomed (as did a black market in used cars).
