Reuben Asbury Wood was born on September 13, 1866 in Moulton, Lawrence County, Alabama United States to William Burton Wood and Margaret Smith Wood, and had siblings William Baldwin Wood, Cicero Columbus Wood, Rufus Walter Wood, Charles Harrison Wood, and Melvin Henry Bennett Wood. He married Ollie May Wood, and had children William Rueben Wood, Burton Harvey Wood, Iva May (Wood) Flower, and Winifred Margaret Caywood. Reuben Wood died at age 91 years old on January 16, 1958 at Hoemako Hospital in Casa Grande, Pinal County, AZ, and was buried circa 1958 at Mountain View Cemetery in Casa Grande.
