He married Jane Vince Harland on November 26, 1926 in Oodnadatta, Pastoral Unincorporated Area County, South Australia Australia, and died on May 31, 1963 in Coburg, Merri-Bek City County, VIC Australia. Coledge Harland was buried at Springvale Botanical Cemetery, 600 Princes Hwy, in Springvale, Greater Dandenong City County.
