A photo of Olga (Liebelt) Tannock, married to Carl Richard Tannock on April 21, 1928. Photo of my grandparents and their children was taken approx. 1936. Grandma Olga (who came from the Ukraine in the early 1900's) is standing next to her oldest son, Thomas (my father). Her daughter, Elaine, is in front, and her son, Richard, is standing next to her husband, Grandpa Carl. They resided on Dixie Mtn. (north of North Plains, OR) most of their lives (except for a few years in Ukiah, OR where Grandpa Carl was based while working for the U.S. Forest Service in the 60's and early 70's). They lived and worked their Dixie Mtn. Christmas tree farm for decades and had a tree lot in SW Portland at Shattuck and Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy. Their grandson, David Logan (Aunt Elaine's son) continues the tradition and returns annually selling Dixie Mtn. Christmas trees in the same location. Grandma Olga passed away in April, 1983 and 6 weeks later my Grandpa Carl followed passing away in May, 1983.
