Richard Bygrove Barnes of Off Reid Street, in Rutherglen, Indigo Shire County, VIC Australia was born in 1803 in Sydney, NSW to Richard Barnes and Hannah (Collins) Barnes. He married Mary Ann (King) Barnes on April 13, 1840, and they were married until Richard's death on July 22, 1890. He had children John Bygrove Barnes, Samuel Barnes, Sarah Bygrove (Barnes) Gill, Francis Barnes, William Barnes, Hannah Barnes, Caroline Barnes, Robert Barnes, Margaret Rose Ann Matilda ( Barnes) La Pouple, and Richard Thomas Bygrove Barnes. Richard Barnes was buried in July 1890 at Carlyle cemetery in Wahgunyah.
