Richard Frank Medley was born on October 31, 1869 in hematite, jefferson County, Missouri united states to Leonidas Charles Medley and Sarah Jane Adaline Medley (Née Ogle), and had siblings William J. Medley, Joseph Elbert Medley, Jane Alice Medley, and Charles Lloyd Medley. He married Nancy Pearl Medley (Née Huey), and had children Augustus Richard Medley, Blanche Medley, Albirdia Medley, Alta Mae Anderson (Née Medley), Ethel Moehlenkamp (Née Medley), and Helen Medley. Richard Medley died at age 59 years old on August 2, 1929.
