    Rick was born in Sacramento November 7, 1958. Rick died on June 22, 2007 when the two-seater airplane he was piloting crashed near the Carbon County Airport in Utah. Rick, a member of a well-known Auburn family, was a lifelong resident of the Auburn area. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1977 and went on to graduate from the Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, Ariz. as a certified mechanic. He worked for Flowers Transport and Van Meter and Sons and later operated Hall's Auto Body business. In 2003 he moved to Billings, Mont., where he owned a small horse ranch and boarding stable. Survivors include his daughters Julia and Abigail Hall; his father and stepmother, Merv and Barbara Hall of Auburn; siblings Ken and Susan; stepfather Leo Velasco; and step- siblings Kim Raymond and Bob and Terry Velasco. He was predeceased by his mother Erma Velasco and his Uncle Larry Hall. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 21st at 11 a.m. at Parkside Nazarene Church, 3885 Richardson Drive, Auburn. Repast will be after the service at hanger 51 Auburn Airport. The family wishes that Sutter Auburn Faith Hospice be beneficiary in lieu of flowers.
