  • Introduction

    He was a sports enthusiast with the love of football, whether it was on tv or in an arena. Richard spent his life working with his hands in the mechanical field specifically with sheet metal. Richard is preceded in death by his parents Agnes and William Miladin; sister Gertrude Ross and brother William Miladin. He is survived by his life partner Diana Miladin; sons Richard (Theresa) Miladin of El Mirage, AZ and Ronald Miladin of Fenton, MO; grandchildren Adam (Mia Stotts) Miladin of Buckeye, AZ; Dallan and Justin Miladin of El Mirage, AZ and Sarah Miladin currently stationed in Germany with the US Army. A Visitation will take place at 12:30 pm on Friday September 2nd, 2016 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N. 59th Ave Glendale, AZ. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm followed a Burial at 2:30 pm at Resthaven Park Cemetery 6450 W. Northern Ave Glendale, AZ.

In 1934, in the year that Richard Ronald Miladin was born, on November 11th 1933, an extremely strong dust storm hit South Dakota, stripping topsoil. Other strong dust storms had occurred during 1933. Severe droughts continued to hit the Great Plains and the dust storms devastated agricultural production as well as people's' lives for several years. The Roosevelt administration and scientists eventually determined that farming practices had caused the conditions that led to the dust storms and the changes they implemented in farming stopped the Dust Bowl.

In 1963, by the time he was 29 years old, the British Secretary of War, 46 year old John Profumo ,was forced to resign when he lied about an affair with 19 year old Christine Keeler. Keeler was also involved with the Soviet naval attaché and charges of espionage were feared. No proof of spying was ever found.
