Rick was a funny and loving man always had a witty thing to say.was a wonderful husband and father, his children were Trina and Ricky Jr, his stepchildren are jashual, William, Rosanna and Arthur. He had 2 brothers Gary and Larry, one sister Robyn and a brother in law Larry one nephew Jake and several grandchildren Kayla who called him Patrick(private joke) Dylan, Haley, Samuel, Caden , Kayla, Kelly and Jordan he had one special friend Donald. Rick always referred himself as master p of grilling

In 1957, in the year that Ricky Wayne Joy Sr. was born, on September 24th, the "Little Rock Nine" (nine African-American students) entered Little Rock High School. Arkansas Gov. Orval Faubus had previously prevented the students from entering the school at the beginning of the term with the Arkansas National Guard - they blocked the door. President Eisenhower ordered federal troops - the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army - to guard the students and allow them entry.

In 1968, Ricky was only 11 years old when on June 5th, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy was shot at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles by Sirhan after celebrating his win in the California presidential primary. He died the next day at Good Samaritan Hospital.

In 1971, at the age of only 14 years old, Ricky was alive when in March, Intel shipped the first microprocessor to Busicom, a Japanese manufacturer of calculators. The microprocessor has since allowed computers to become smaller and faster, leading to smaller and more versatile handheld devices, home computers, and supercomputers.

In 1985, when he was 28 years old, on March 7th, the song "We Are the World" was released as a charity effort to alleviate the African famine. The song was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, and produced by Quincy Jones. They were joined by 37 other famous singers in the recording studio and a phenomena had begun

In 1998, when he was 41 years old, on December 19th, the House of Representatives initiated impeachment charges against U.S. President Bill Clinton. He was subsequently acquitted of these charges by the Senate on February 12th.
